clothes, the length and weight of the dog is important.
When measuring your
dog for other clothes like a harness or life jacket, the girth is
important.
Consider the personality of your dog
when purchasing a coat or other clothing.
If your dog is fussy,
something with velcro for easy on easy off dressing is preferred. If your
pup is mellow, it may be easier to
dress him in something that is worn over
the head.
Generally, XX-Small fits Chihuahuas,
toy poodles and teacup sized dogs.
X-Small fits Yorkies, Maltese, mini
dogs.
Small fits mini Dachshunds, Bichons, Min Pins etc.
Medium fits Pugs,
Boston Terriers, West Highland Terriers Scottish Terriers etc.
Large fits
Cocker Spaniels, Collies, Sharpeis etc.
X-Large fits Labs, Boxers, Dalmatians
etc.
XX-Large fits Great Danes, Akitas,
German Shepherds etc.
An overweight dog or wide dog would be
better suited in dog clothes that are a size up.
